PROPOSITION 13 NONPOINT SOURCE POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM

The Proposition 13 Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program provides grant funding for projects that protect the beneficial uses of water throughout the state through the control of nonpoint source pollution. Sixty percent of the funds will be allocated to projects in the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino, and Ventura. Forty percent of the funds will be allocated to projects in the remaining counties.

FUNDING INFORMATION

Eligible Applicants:

Local public agencies & nonprofit organizations with landowner members directly benefiting from the project

Eligible Project Types:

Projects consistent with local watershed management plans and regional water quality control plans.
Broad-based nonpoint source projects
Consistent with the State and Regional Water Boards' "Integrated Plan for Implementation of the Watershed Management Initiative"
Implement management measures and practices pursuant to the State and Regional Water Boards' Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program.
