Data Sources: California Department of Water Resources (DWR)

CASGEM
DWR's California Statewide Groundwater Elevation Monitoring (CASGEM) program is a collaboration between local monitoring entities and DWR for the regular and systematic monitoring of groundwater elevation data in California’s 515 alluvial groundwater basins. The CASGEM program builds on established local long-term groundwater monitoring and management programs and allows users to assess seasonal and long-term groundwater elevation trends at a statewide scale. Additional information and access to DWR’s CASGEM program may be found at CASGEM.

Groundwater Information Center Interactive Map
DWR's Groundwater Information Center (GIC) Interactive Map is a web-based mapping application that compliments the data, reports, and other information provided on the GIC website. Users may use the GIC interactive map to view and download individual map layers of groundwater related data and information. Additional information and access to DWR’s GIC Interactive Map may be found at GIC Interactive Map.

Water Data Library
DWR's Water Data Library (WDL) provides public access to hydrologic data (groundwater level data and some groundwater quality data) for over 35,000 wells in California. The data are collected by DWR Regional Offices, and dozens of local and federal cooperators. Additional information and access to DWR’s WDL may be found at Water Data Library.

Additional DWR Monitoring and Data Collection Resources
DWR maintains groundwater monitoring and data collection resources in addition to those listed above. These additional resources provide access to groundwater level, groundwater quality, and land subsidence data collected by DWR staff and other state, federal, and local entities. Additional information and access to DWR's groundwater monitoring and data collection resources may be found at: Groundwater Information Center
